With the restoration of Villa Torricella, our parents created five bedrooms and three bathrooms, for our big family.
The rooms still have the old Tuscan furniture they bought from the farmers of the surroundings who were moving to town in the Sixties, abandoning the fields. Furinture with beautiful Renaissance motives carefully carved out wood inherited from an old aunt, decorates the master bedroom, with en suite bathroom.
An ancient wrought iron bed was placed in a large bedroom, where the late 19th century wardrobe comes from family heritage. In this part of the house you will find a large bathroom, with a shower and an old bath tub, from which you can enjoy the view of the hill in front lying in foam bubbles.
You will have dinner at old our family table: it comes from the farm house located on the slope of the hill down the villa, podere Il Sasso.
At this table we shared many moments of joy, during lunch and dinner prepared by our father who was a very good cook: we hope you feel the same. Two living rooms (we always had so many guests from many countries all around the world!): one has an large open fire place, around which we have been sitting for hours talking until late during cold winter nights.
And the 'aia': like all farmhouses in Tuscany in front of the villa there is a large paved space, where we gave parties in the summer and where you can sit, relax and have dinner during summer evenings. The lemon trees our father cultivated in terracotta pots and the pelargonia our mother cared for, give the 'aia' a green touch.
We built a pool, for a fresh break when you come back from a long day strolling through Florentine museums and churches. Florence, of course: don't forget that although you are in the countryside, on a Chianti hill, you are only 7 kilometers from the centre of Florence!
