Where we are
Villa Torricella
Villa Torricella is on top of a Chianti hill, overlooking the village Tavarnuzze, located at a few kilometres from the heart of Florence.
How to reach us
Once you are at the roundabout of the exit Impruneta of the highway A 1, follow the signs Tavarnuzze. After a couple of kilometres keep on the right and you will find a traffic light with a bridge on the river Greve on the right. Cross the bridge and follow the asphalt road that climbs up to the top of the hill. The road becomes narrow and on the very top you will be at a T-shaped crossroad where you have to turn left and continue on the same narrow road that becomes a dirt road. You will pass in front of a big yellow villa ( Via Torricella n. 68. Our villa is n. 27-29 but you know that in the countryside numbers do not match!) and a few meters ahead you will see the white wall and gate of Villa Torricella. Welcome!!
Poggio a Vento
Poggio a Vento is on top of one of the highest hill of the Chianti region, a couple of kilometres from Badia a Passignano.
How to reach us
From the exit Tavarnelle of the highway Siena-Firenze, follow the signs Badia a Passignano. Once in Badia a Passignano ( a stop to take a photograph along the road where the monastery appears magically in the distance is a must!) at the end of the village you have to turn right and follow a brown sign indicating the “Cappella di Sant’Andrea a Poggio a Vento”. You will find the same sign again at the end of the asphalt road after a couple of kilometres, at a crossroad in the woods where you have to turn right and then after 70 metres right again following the same sign. The chapel of Sant’Andrea is in the courtyard of the villa, so the sign takes you home!! Welcome to the Middle Ages!
